Outdoor learning

Class: Y4 - Mrs Farrington Year: 2020 - 2021

Thursday 5th November was National Outdoor Classroom Day.

Y5 explored the textures in the outdoor areas and madejourney sticks to represent what we found. Even the rain did not stop us enjoying ourselves.

Now more than ever, spending quality time outside is just as important for children’s development as learning to develop their reading and writing skills inside.

Learning outside of the classroom engages and excites children in spectacular ways!

Outdoor play and connecting to nature is the key to improving children’s health, wellbeing and happiness.

If you would like to take part at home please take a look at the ideas on the website below. You don’t need a password and it is free!
