Curriculum

LEARNING AT NORTHWAY

At Northway, we have designed our curriculum to develop resilient, motivated learners who are prepared for the future. We expect our pupils to work hard, aim high and take pride in their achievements and the achievements of others. We know that parents & carers play a vital role in the development of their child and expect their full support on their child’s learning journey.

We have designed our whole school curriculum to ensure breadth and balance across a range of subject areas in which knowledge builds on prior understanding. We have planned topics that promote fluency in English & Mathematics; develop skills and knowledge; foster creativity in the arts, whilst promoting the British Values of tolerance and mutual respect.

Our curriculum meets the statutory requirements of the 2014 National Curriculum and more as we ensure that our lessons are relevant and engaging. We strive to provide our children with a rich and deep curriculum, enhanced by visits, visitors and celebration days.
