Acting out the Easter Story

In Year 1 we have been learning all about Holy Week and the events that Christians remember at Palm Sunday, Maunday Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Can you spot our photo of Jesus entering Jerusalem and the crowds waving palm leaves to celebrate and Jesus getting upset in the temple when he realises that it has been turned into a market? Do you recognise the Last Supper, or where Judas betrays Jesus for silver coins. Can you spot Peter denying Jesus three times before the cockrel crowed or Mary Magdalene and her friend finding the tomb empty after Jesus had been crucified but had risen again? We enjoyed acting the story out and finding out what Christians do to celebrate these events at Easter.
