Year 5/6 Shakespeare performance

Class: Y5/6 - Mrs Reardon Year: 2018 - 2019

Today we got to share our dance based on Romeo and Juliet with the rest of the school. In English, we had studied the scene at the start of the play where the rival families, the Capulets and the Montegues, get into a fight only to be broken up by Prince Escalus who declares that any man caught fighting will be sentenced to death! 

We watched parts of 'West Side Story', a modern day version of Romeo and Juliet and lots of our inspiration came from the way the dances moved and interacted with each other.
