Year 5&6 make and deliver soup to the residents at Kenyons Lodge
Lesson: Design and technology
Class: Y5/6 - Mrs Reardon Year: 2018 - 2019
Over the last few weeks, we have been tasting different soups and learning about food hygiene and preparation and designing our own soup recipes for our DT project. On Friday, we made our soups and took them to the residents of Kenyons Lodge. We had a fantastic time meeting the residents and really enjoyed chatting to them about their lives. When they found out we had been learning about WW1, they shared stories about their own families. One lady even had a WW2 gas mask which she got out for us to have a look at.
Our soups were really popular! The residents really enjoyed tasting them and were looking forward to having them again for their lunch the next day!
