Upper Junior reading celebration assembly

Class: Y5/6 - Mrs Reardon Year: 2016 - 2017

This week we invited our families into school for a reading celebration assembly. In the assembly we shared information about the book 'Stay Where You Are and Then Leave' by John Boyne. This book has been the focus for our English lessons over the last term and we've loved reading it. Miss Kneale's class introduced each of the main characters and how they are important to the story. Miss Finnigan's class then acted out some of the key events from the book and Mrs Phillips' class performed some poetry that they had written for Remembrance Day. Our parents then had a look at the work in our English books over a drink and a biscuit. We really enjoyed sharing the book and definitely recommend it!
