Marvellous Mexican Artwork In Year 2

In our Art lessons during this half-term we have been learning different sculpting and painting skills. After looking at a range of Oaxaca animals, we designed our own Oaxaca animal before sculpting it out of clay, manipulating the clay into different shapes. We joined the pieces of clay together using water and then waited for it to dry. Once our sculptures were dry, we applied a base layer of paint before waiting for this to dry and then applying more detail. As you can see, we made some amazing Oaxaca animals!
