Digging holes!

In Year 5/6, we have been reading the book 'Holes' by Louis Sachar. In the book, the main character, Stanley Yelnats, is sent to a juvenile detention centre where he is forced to dig a 5ft hole each day as punishment for his crime.

This week we are writing instructions for how to dig a hole while at Camp Green Lake, so to get into character we all had a go a digging a 5ft hole in the school grounds. It was much harder than many of us expected!
