An Archaeologist visits Northway

On Friday 21st September we were extremely excited to welcome Ron Cowell, an archaeologist from Liverpool World Museum, to our school. Ron is an expert on life in the Stone Age and is currently leading the archaelogical dig at Lunt Meadows in Sefton. He brought some artefacts for us to look at and learn about. We were able to handle the objects that have been dug up. We even looked at a hand axe that is thought to be half a million years old! Have a look at the images to see for yourself.
