Stone Age Day in Year Four

Lesson: History

Class: Y2 - Mrs O'Connor Year: 2020 - 2021

What a wonderful day we've had in Year Four!

We started our day by learning about the historical significance of Stonehenge and discussed how it still intrigues people to this day. We then created our own models of it (using biscuits, rather than stones that had travelled hundreds of miles)! We also debated whether the proposed tunnel underneath it to avoid traffic congestion should be built: we decided NO!

This afternoon, we were fortunate enough to take part in a wonderful Stone Age workshop, led by an expert from Portals to the Past, Clud!

We've all had a fantastic day!

Thank you so much to parents for contributing towards this and helping to make history come alive for our classes. Visits like these wouldn't be possible without your support and it is truly appreciated.
