Our Stone Age visitor!

Lesson: History

Class: Y3 - Mrs O'Connor & Mrs Shimmin Year: 2018 - 2019

Today we were visited by Clud, who came all the way from the Stone Age to see us! He told us lots of interesting facts about life in the Stone Age, as well as showing us some Stone Age artefacts. This morning, we got to hunt for animals, create some modern cave art drawings and completed a quiz. We also learned about hunting and gathering and the different jobs that were done by men and women. We discovered that Britain use to be connected to the rest of Europe by a part of the world called Doggerland, which is now underwater!

In the afternoon, we learned about how life in Britain changed with the discovery of copper, tin and bronze and competed in our very own chariot race!
