Purple for Polio- Rotary Club

The children who attend Forest Club welcomed two visitors to our club this week, Mr and Mrs Wilson from Maghull's Rotary Club.

They brought 1000, yes 1000 crocus bulbs that we have planted around school! They are all shades of purple. Purple for Polio.

Mr Wilson explained that in some parts of the world children are still suffering from  disease called Polio and the Rotary Club aim to eradicate it by raising funds for medication and increasing awareness. Each purple crocus bulb planted saves one child's life.

We found this very sad but also we were proud of ourselves for being part of such a good cause.

We will remember the children who are now living a healthy life just like we do when we see the bulbs sprouting in the Spring!

Thanks Mr and Mrs Wilson!
