Reception - Mrs Harrison 2019 - 2020

Mrs Harrison

Welcome

My name is Mrs Harrison and I teach in Reception along with Mrs Stewart. I first came to Northway on my final teaching practice from Edge Hill University. The children, staff and ethos of the school captured my heart and after teaching in another school for my NQT year, I returned to Northway. I have now been a member of the teaching staff at Northway since 2006. As well as teaching in Reception I am also responsible for leading the development, progress, attainment and well-being of all children in EYFS and Key Stage One. I am also responsible for promoting the social, emotional and spiritual development of all children in my role as Religious Education and PSHE leader at our school.

Understanding of the World

This week find out five facts about a country that is hot e.g Australia/ India.

You could find out about where it is located on the world map in comparison to the UK. What famous landmarks are in that country? What does their flag look like? Do they have any traditions?

Revisit the five interesting facts that you have learned about the UK and compare these facts to the new country that you have studied this week.

Playing outdoors and going for a daily walk are a big part of our day, try some of the outdoor activities on this link below to enhance your understanding of the world around you.
