World Mental Health Day, by Mrs O'Connor

Date: 8th Oct 2020 @ 7:23pm

Tomorrow (Saturday 9th October) is World Mental Health Day, so we took some time out today we discuss what mental health is, and we learned about 10 different things we can do to help us stay mentally healthy.

1. TALK ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS

2. KEEP ACTIVE

3. EAT WELL

4. DRINK

5. KEEP IN TOUCH

6. ASK FOR HELP

7. TAKE A BREAK

8. DO SOMETHING YOU’RE GOOD AT

9. ACCEPT WHO YOU ARE

10. CARE FOR OTHERS

We made some posters to help others learn how to be mentally healthy.

We have agreed that we are going to take some time this weekend to think about the things that we do to look after ourselves, and others, and will spend some time doing things that we love and that make us happy.

Anti-bullying Debate in Y6, by Miss Finnigan

Date: 14th Nov 2017 @ 3:16pm

As a part of anti-bullying week, we held a class debate and discussed different bullying scenarios. We listened to each other's points, responded appropriately with an opposing point and respected each other's right to have an opinion (Articles 12 & 13).

The questions we discussed were:

- If someone is being bullied online, should they just shut down their account?

- Should all forms of bullying be against the law?

- Is there such thing as an innocent bystander when seeing someone being bullied?

Do you have an opinion on any of the above questions?
